Weekly Dwell #10

This week I am excited to announce that the chapter I wrote in 2020(!!) has finally been published! The chapter is featured in Grassroots Activisms (found online for sale here, but free to read here) and is about 6 pages as Chapter 12. It is a short form feature essay regarding the history of a critical and historical grassroots organization for bridging the gap between public need and private investment in Philadelphia. The chapter also spends time discussing the importance of leadership within the organization, and how the rise of the latest and longest female CEO has greatly affected the trajectory of not only the organization's work, but deeply impacted most of the community work throughout the city. Over several interviews with local leaders, these conversations came to build a cohesive narrative that I hope will benefit the organization by showcasing its quiet yet robust impact across the city. Take a read!
